Hey guyss! I'm currently hooked with Demi Lovato's fourth studio album. I know it was released three months ago but I'm still diggin it until now. Completely relatable! Haha. My favorites are Heart Attack, Nightingale, Warrior, In Case, Without the love, Something that we're not and I really don't care. The last two songs are so upbeat and bratty! Love it to bits. Try to listen if you haven't heard these tracks yet!

WEATHER UPDATE

(From ANC 24/7)

Northern and Central Luzon will continue to experience rains today but less than what parts of the country have been experiencing for the past days.

According to weather bureau PAGASA, Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Ilocos and the Cordillera will experience monsoon rains which may trigger flashfloods and landslides.

This as Tropical Storm Maring eased its hold on the southwest monsoon. Maring, known for international name “Trami”, is now being felt in northern Taiwan.

PAGASA has also spotted a new low pressure area, east of Northern Luzon though it is still outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

The LPA could accelerate by the weekend. 

I think it's not new to our ears that Philippines is often visited by typhoons. It was just last year when Typhoon Bopha aka Bagyong Pablo brought great impact to the country. Unfortunately, the country is now facing the same catastrophe. It has been raining nonstop for quite a few days now and the destruction brought by Bagyong Maring are visible in the pictures. they say that this is the worst so far. Though the impacted areas are in the northern part of the country and we live in the southern part, it still breaks my heart to see all these pictures.

I decided to post this hoping that you can spare some of your time to pray for the Philippines. I just really wanna help in my own little way. If you are interested, here's a list on how to help the victims of the flooding.

ABS-CBN Foundation

What they need: Rice, canned goods, noodles, biscuits, coffee, sugar, water, clothes, blankets, mats, medicine, and cash donations

Where: ABS-CBN Foundation-Sagip Kapamilya Warehouse at 137 Mother Ignacia Ave. corner Eugenio Lopez Drive, Diliman, Quezon City.

For cash donations, interested parties may deposit to Banco de Oro under the account name “ABS-CBN Foundation Inc.-Sagip Kapamilya” with account number 393-011-4199.

For international cash donations, Sagip Kapamilya’s BDO dollar account number is 393-008-1622 with a ‘swift code,’ BNORPHMM. The BPI Dollar Account is under the name ABS-CBN Foundation Inc.-Sagip Kapamilya with the account number, 3054-0270-35 (swift code: BOPIPHMM).

They may also deposit their donation through PNB and BPI which both carry the account name “ABS-CBN Foundation Inc.-Sagip Kapamilya.” The account number in PNB is 419-539-5000-13 (swift code: PNBMPHMM); while in BPI (West Triangle, Quezon City Branch) is 3051-1127-75 (swift code: BOPIPHMM).

Philippine Red Cross

What they need: Volunteers and cash donations

Cash donations can be given through SMS and G-Cash, as well as bank deposit. To donate via SMS, text RED<space>AMOUNT to 2899 (Globe) or 4143 (Smart). Denominations are 5, 25, 100, 300, 500 or 1000 for Globe, and 10, 25, 50, 100, 300, 500 or 1000 for Smart.

To donate via G-Cash, text DONATE<space>AMOUNT<space>4-digit M-PIN<space>REDCROSS to 2882.

Those who wish to volunteer can approach their local chapter or call the Red Cross hotline at 143 or (02) 527-0000.

Gawad Kalinga

What they need: Cash donations

Gawad Kalinga is not conducting full-scale relief operations, but have said on their Facebook page that they are "closely monitoring the situation and helping in small ways".

Ayala Foundation

What they need: Cash donations

Local donations can be made through the official website of the Ayala Foundation, on theLaging Handa page.

US-based donors can give monetary assistance using the Ayala Foundation page in theFeed the Hungry website.

Aboitiz Foundation

What they need: Cash donations

The Aboitiz Foundation is currently doing relief operations in Taguig and Laguna. Those who would like to extend their help can donate through the Aboitiz Foundation website (aboitizfoundation.org) or through the foundation’s bank accounts in UnionBank of the Philippines (account number 10026-1070944) and CitySavings Bank (account number 200-20031301).

What they need: Relief goods

Zest Air is accepting free airlift of relief goods to Metro Manila to help flood victims in the National Capital Region and its nearby provinces.

Allow me to begin with these rules. First of all, I would like to thank Cynthia of Mesmerized for including me on her list of nominees. At first, I was surprised when I read her comment on my post. 1) What has been your most embarrassing moment?

• Wow. I just can't think of anything right now. But since I'm such a clumsy person, yeah, trust me, I'm terrible. haha. It happened way back in high school, my classmates and I were heading to the cafeteria. As we ran along the stairs, I suddenly tripped over and fell down. It was just right in front of the cafeteria and it was break time so a lot of students were there! I was in a kneeling position and had a hard time standing up. My classmates helped me up and guess what, all eyes were on me. Of course, we laughed so hard. Since I was so embarrassed, I ran back to our classroom and didn't even bother to buy food and eat.

2) Who is your favorite band/ singer ?

• For the bands, I like Hillsong, FT Island, Arashi, SS501, Hot chelle rae, One Direction, Maroon 5, and The Script. My favorite singers are Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato, Ed Sheeran, Pink, Jessie J, Celine Dion, Beyonce, Bridgit Mendler, Bruno Mars, and Jason Mraz.

3) Who's your celebrity crush?

• EUROPE! Paris is first on my list! :D

• I don't have anything particular in my mind as long as it's unique, special, romantic, and sweet. I guess that's every girl's dream. And when you truly love someone, everything they do seems to be perfect, right? I believe that surprises are always better than promises. :))

8) Do you like to read? If so what is your favorite book?

• Yes, I do. I like reading because somehow I can put my feelings into words. I can express myself in one way or another. we read to know that we are not alone. My favorite are The Harry Potter Series, The Twilight Saga, awesome works of Nicholas Sparks and Paulo Coelho such as The Notebook, The Last Song, The Alchemist and Veronika Decides to Die. 

9) What is one super power you would like to have?

• I'm sorry but one isn't enough. (harhar) I've always wanted to do teleportation (the ability to move from one location to another), telekinesis (power to manipulate objects with the mind), and telepathy (ability to transmit and receive information).

10) How many languages do you know?

• Two. Filipino and English. I know a bit of Korean, Japanese and Chinese. Just the basics. I badly wanna learn French and Spanish too!

11) Who is your favorite tv/movie couple?

• Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick) and Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) of Gossip Girl. Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) of TVD.

Summer's almost over

Like what they say, August is basically the Sunday of Summer. Especially for those who are studying for school. Time really flies so fast and it's hard to believe that Summer's almost over. It's been nearly a year since I came here in the US. I can still vividly remember the first time I was here. I can just relate to this quote by C.S. Lewis: 

 Anyway, I would like to share one of the many activities I had this summer. We spent a day at the park together with my family. It was actually a perfect day because the sun was shining, just the perfect weather. We stroll around the park and together we enjoyed the beautiful scenery there. I mean who wouldn't like seeing magnificent trees, adorable flowers, and the like?

You can see that I dressed very lightly and comfortably which I think was appropriate for the park. I was able to move freely and at the same time I was feeling fresh and girly! What to wear when you're in a rush? A perfect pair of jeans is a first on the list! It's always so comfortable and gives you that 'on-the-go' feeling. You could just wear a top that perfectly matches with it depending on the occasion. 

I wore this outfit weeks ago on Sunday. Yes, Sunday, which means my family and I also went to the church. I usually don"t wear jeans when attending a mass but since we planned to go somewhere else after, I dindn't have any choice. We went to a Festival Event held at a fairground. So I expected a huge crowd and it was really a scorching hot day. And since we were such on a rush, I decided to dress light and comfortable as possible. 

I just love the off-shoulder top because it's simple yet looks quite formal. I chose brown belt and brown pumps to make it sexy and edgy. Plus the gold accessories to match with my outfit.

First Blog Post: Why I started blogging

Okay. So I'm actually nervous to post this. At first I was really hesitant on making a blog because I know this would consume a lot of time. And because I don't think I would be able to maintain it. But what the hey, at least I should give it a try. Right?!

I've got a lot of reasons why I decided to blog. One of these is because I have a lot of 'free time' since first; I'm unemployed and currently stays in a foreign country. Can you just imagine how boring that is? Thank God for the internet! Haha. I mean, don't get me wrong, I like the place and appreciate the people but it just sucks to have nothing to do with most of your time. I just wanna be productive in my own little way.

 Second; I feel like I'm going bonker because I miss home so much that I get depressed and frustrated. It's stressing me out! But I know I gotta be strong and keep moving on. (chos!) So much for that, this is getting too personal. Sorry, guys.

Third; I believe in lifelong learning. English is not my primary language so forgive me for any grammatical errors. I wanna develop my skills and I know that I can learn something from you. I do hope that you can learn from me too. Through blogging, I can be able to share and express more which I strongly believe will enhance my self esteem and character as an individual.

Lastly; I've been into blog hoppin' lately. It's really so addicting and inspiring that I just found myself in making one. I find it funny cause I never thought it's gonna be pretty complicated. (Well, for me it is!) You know, I'm not really good and familiar with these websites thingy, blog tools, editing and HTMLs. So I gotta watch some tutorials and tips. I believe that there's nothing impossible if we know how to learn.

This blog will serve as a personal documentation about my passion, dreams, style, thoughts and stuffs. I want it to be an outlet for me to share what I can to the readers. Hoping that in one way or another I could be able to touch hearts and inspire people. That's it! Maybe, just maybe, one of you can actually relate and feel the same way I do. And maybe you're thinking of making a blog too so I encourage you to do so right now! C'mon, resist your inner critic!
